Year 4...

0 min read
I'm a few months late in writing this, but here I am in year 4 since my return to drawing. I hope you can see a nice progression from the early stuff to now in my gallery. 4 years from now I hope to still be at it and doing even bigger and better things AND doing them faster. Which brings me to my next point... I started drawing again so that I could draw a story that I've had in my head for 6 or 7 years now. Unfortunately I was shocked to see that it takes waaaaayyy longer to draw a comic than I had initially thought. I think the biggest thing I want to focus on this year is speed. It will only come with practice, but I think I've settled i

One Year Update

0 min read
So I've officially been drawing again for one year after a 20-year break! I look back at my progression and couldn't be happier. Nowadays things are moving digital. I recognized this very early on since my return and have been learning this whole new era of digital at the same time I'm relearning how to draw. Quite a learning curve. I'm still learning in leaps and bounds, but I feel I'm falling into a style I can call my own. A style which wouldn't have been possible unless I learned the digital stuff as well. Never messed with any of the Surfaces before this one. After playing with the SP3 for a week or so, I've decided that I like it. The biggest problem that I have is the glassy feel. The stylus glides too easily across the screen. This is a common problem amongst artists. It will be nice to see if Microsoft will release a softer nib or some kind of screen protector that will allow some friction to make it more like drawing on paper.

Hi! Thank you very much for the +watch! I really appreciated it Heart
Thankyou kindly for the watch :D
There's a guy named Clayton that I follow on Facebook. He posted about all your reference stuff. It's a gold mine for artists! Thanks for posting.
You happen to have his name/a link ? :)
www.howtodrawcomics.net/

Here's the website. I'm sure the FB link is on there. If I remember correctly, he didn't directly post your Deviant page, it was something added in a comment... like he mentioned your Deviant name or something like that. I just did a quick scroll and couldn't find the exact post, but I assure you, it's there somewhere. :) This is a legit artist, so if he's using your stuff as reference then it MUST be helpful.
